Savannah has a well-developed CSR policy aimed at helping and being involved with our community. Every year we vote on three charities to support, and then we take part in numerous activities to fundraise and support. Since launching the scheme two years ago, we have raised over £20,000 for charity, have been awarded a green award from the city of London, and have had six young students go through our work experience program.
We encourage our employees to get involved in supporting the community and award every member of staff an annual CSR day to be taken to support a charitable or community cause. Our employees are involved in all kinds of activities including:
Throughout the year, we come together as a company to celebrate international awareness days and support colleagues raising money for their nominated charities. These include National events like St Patrick’s day, health events like mental awareness week, and fun days like Christmas Jumper day.
We also take our environmental responsibilities seriously and have embarked on a green initiative where we are committed to promoting sustainability. We aim to reduce the environmental impacts of our activities through a comprehensive recycling scheme and continued efforts to minimise our carbon expenditure.
We have won the Gold award, with special commendation, from the Clean City scheme two years running, and we hope to continue and further our initiatives for a cleaner and healthier environment.
We offset all business related emissions, both internal site related and business travel emissions through ‘carbon Footprint’ https://www.carbonfootprint.com who are a verified carbon standard offsetting provider. Through their global portfolio, Savannah supports renewable energy projects around the World.
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility policy/commitment to our community, we offer work experience of two weeks duration to students in a number of schools in local boroughs including Tower Hamlets and Newham as well as schools further afield.
The work experience programme is aimed at year 12 and 13 pupils. It gives them an introduction to the corporate environment and to executive search and interim management. Students undertake commercial research and database administration as well as general office duties. They are given input around writing a great CV, personal statement, and interview skills, and are given the opportunity to have an interview with a Partner and receive feedback on their performance.
We also offer internships of up to a month for undergraduates.
If you are interested in learning more about either the work experience programme or an internship please contact Linda Roberts: email@example.com
“I would highly recommend doing work experience with Savannah Group. My schedule was designed so that I was constantly learning.
I met with many friendly employees from all areas of the company which provided me with a unique insight into the business while gaining lots of useful career guidance.
As I received training in various areas, this meant I was then able to contribute to live assignments and help with projects.
Overall my experience was fantastic and I am now interested in applying for their graduate programme and other opportunities with Savannah Group.”

Employee health and wellbeing is now a top five boardroom issue, and Savannah aims to create a culture that allows our employees to be motivated, productive and fulfilled. Our benefits dashboard allows our employees to track and improve their diet, exercise and sleep regime and support each other on events like Dry January.
We encourage our employees to walk, cycle and/or use public transport to attend meetings, site visits etc. and we are active members of the cycle to work scheme.
“I had a brilliant time at Savannah Group. I learnt about the different team roles and was encouraged to ask any questions I had. I loved the fact that each colleague took the time to sit down with me and explain their role rather than simply shadowing them.”
