Eleanor Gartside (née Boyd-Wallis)
Eleanor is a member of the Financial Officers practice at Savannah Group and has two years’ experience working in executive search. Her focus is on senior finance leadership roles (including Chief Financial Officers, Group Financial Controllers, Group Treasurers and Heads of Tax), audit, risk, M&A and investor relations.
After graduating from the University of Kent, I joined Odgers Berndtson as a Research Analyst within their Business Information and Analyst team, providing comprehensive cross-sector research, market analysis and information support across the regional offices of Odgers Berndtson, Odgers Interim and Berwick Partners. Having enjoyed the insights I had gained into executive search, I moved to work as a Researcher within the Industrial practice; I covered a broad spectrum of searches for senior-level executives, specialising in aerospace and defence. I joined Savannah earlier this year to work within the Financial Officers practice. I was attracted by the diversity that working within a function brings.
I have been working in executive search for the past two years. My specific interest is in functional expertise and I concentrate on CFO and GFC appointments.
Having worked across multiple sectors prior to joining Savannah, I have had experience serving clients within construction, aerospace and defence, industrial/manufacturing, real estate, infrastructure, and facilities management.
I have a consultative style of working and enjoy gathering market insight and company-specific feedback that I feel truly adds value. I thoroughly enjoy my work; it provides a fantastic opportunity to engage with extremely interesting organisations and impressive candidates across a diverse range of sectors.
One of the fantastic elements of working within executive search is the opportunity to learn. As part of a functional team, I work with a wide range of people and businesses within a varied spread of sectors; my knowledge is constantly expanding.
Why I like working at Savannah
Savannah is a friendly, respectful and people-centric business where employees are treated as individuals; this ethos is also apparent in our relationships with candidates and clients.
The partners I work with are well regarded in their respective fields, and working alongside them has allowed me to gain insight and increase my expertise within a range of sectors.
