Partner, Human Resources Practice, Board Practice
A prominent voice in the executive search industry, Lisa has nearly 20 years’ experience. She leads the Human Resources practice, specialising in senior HR appointments and bringing deep expertise in cross-border recruitment and an extensive network to meet the complex talent requirements of multinational organisations.
My career has spanned two clearly defined halves – the first in South Africa where I lived for many years, working in marketing and as a consultant in corporate identity and print broking, and the second in the UK where I’ve found my niche and where I can bring together all my experience over the years in executive search. Previously, I worked at Heidrick & Struggles and Boyden.
Against a challenging brief, their subject matter expertise and advice was invaluable. We were delighted that they produced a shortlist of high calibre candidates very quickly and we moved to offer at great speed and with a superb outcome. They knew the market, are well networked and their partnership and responsiveness was above expectations.

Having spent nearly 20 years in search and worked across a number of different sectors, the HR specialism found me, in a way. Having started by working in the professional services sector, my interest was piqued by my fascination with behavioural change impacting the way businesses could genuinely change their organisations. This led to HR consulting assignments, which then took me into HR functional work. Over the past few years, my keen interest and focus, particularly on international HR roles, has allowed me to generate the most fabulous global HR network, which continues to build and which excites and motivates me. The upside of having specialised in the function for so many years is that so many candidates in the UK and further afield have known and trusted me as their careers have grown to the most senior leadership positions. Being able to call HR leaders around the world and learn about their challenges and help solve them is a privilege and a joy.
Lisa always delivers and has a fantastic grasp of the marketplace. Thoughtful and considered in their approach, a unique way of building relationships, and always thinking outside of the box with any placement. I understand why Lisa has such a wide global network of contacts and is respected by those that meet her.

Working with my colleagues at Savannah, where we have strong bonds and open and trusting relationships, and growing a team that also shares my passion for what we do gets me up in the morning with a spring in my step. Having an open and honest environment where sharing and collaboration matter, and where success is rejoiced in, reflects positively with clients and candidates alike.
Why I like working at Savannah
Being an independent business means that we can focus on the areas that we’re brilliant at and can work in the way our clients would prefer.
Lisa and Katie worked with us on a very challenging and critical senior HR leadership role. They were partners and advisors from the very early stages of refining the brief through to a highly successful conclusion. Our role was very specific and we knew there would not be many in the market with this skillset, so we needed a global approach. The added complexity of the search was the accelerated pace we asked them to work at, which they successfully did without compromising on quality. What really stood out was the deep market knowledge and candidate insight they have. They had an excellent understanding of each candidate and what they could bring to our business and culture. We would not hesitate to work with them again.
