Nick is an experienced interim executive recruiter. He has spent the past eleven years placing senior executives across a broad range of sectors and industries. Nick has made numerous senior executive placements including permanent and interim Chief Executives, Chief Finance Officers, HR Directors, and Transformational/Programme Leaders.

My story

I have a real a passion for people, behaviours and psychology – the recruitment industry has offered me an opportunity to maintain my passion in these areas. I have the opportunity to meet and speak with fascinating people on a daily basis, these interactions are essential for developing your antennae for identifying talent. The majority of my first eleven years in recruitment has been spent recruiting at director or board level within the interim management and permanent market working across a range of industries and functions.

My focus

I lead Savannah’s Interim Commercial Leaders Practice – recruiting Director level interims into Commercial, Marketing, Growth, Sales and Business Development roles.

My motivation

A large part of my motivation is a sense of pride in the appointments I have had the great fortune of being involved with including the impact they have had on society. Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to place candidates into roles where they have run hospitals, delivered essential public services, had significant impact on a change in public policy or led major infrastructure programmes. My role at Savannah gives me the opportunity to have an equally significant impact on society. The changing nature of the consumer market and how digital technology is rapidly changing the way we access goods and services means that for businesses to successfully grow, they must keep up with the pace of change and even get ahead of it to ensure that their customers experience matches that societal evolution.

What fascinates and motivates me is getting under the skin of the types of experience, personalities, styles and behaviours that are successful in certain environments and by harnessing my interest in this for the benefit our candidates and clients.

On top of that I get to meet some wonderfully talented and interesting people who are at the cutting edge of their industries and support clients undergoing exciting and rapid growth. I enjoy seeing the development and progress that our interims deliver for our clients and for clients to be delighted with the return on investment they get from the talent we are able to identify for them.

The interim team are a very close team and we are never short of joke or two, even if that is usually at my expense (I appear to be the only Arsenal fan in a team of Tottenham fans).
