With 20 years’ experience in executive search, Vicky Maxwell Davies is one of three Founding Partners and is a key member of our Global Technology practice. Her insider’s perspective and deep industry expertise, gained from a substantial background in technology, make her superbly qualified to recruit top candidates for the increasingly critical role of Chief Information Officer.

My story

After gaining my French degree, I went to work for IBM and spent 10 years there, first in sales in the City and then in marketing in London and Paris. I then moved to Oracle, selling databases and tools to banks in the City, but didn’t really feel that I was making the best use of my strengths or of my interest in people’s motivations and the importance of round pegs in round holes for personal and organisational success. Hence I moved into search, joining Cathy Holley and John Ellis at Norman Broadbent.

In 2002, the three of us founded our own independent search firm, which we have grown over the last 15 years within a global search network, before relaunching as an independent firm once again in 2017.

My focus

My focus is on digital, cyber and technology leaders, across sectors and internationally. I add value to businesses by finding them terrific talent, which will hopefully challenge established norms – something that is vital in this new digital world.
